Rome Hotel and Restaurant Reviews

When I travel by train, I usually look for a hotel near the train station so I can stash my bags and then walk unencumbered to the central sights. In Rome, finding a good but reasonably priced hotel is sometimes difficult. I was happy to discover the Hotel and Hostel des Artistes, just a few blocks from Termini Station, Rome's main station, but on a fairly quiet street. At the des Artistes, you will find both a comfortable 3-star hotel and shared hostel accommodations on separate floors. Read my review of Hotel des Artistes. Also during my last travels in Rome, I was fortunate enough to finally eat at Checchino dal 1887, a restaurant serving traditional Roman food. It's well worth the trip to the Testaccio district.
