How To Order Coffee in Italy

Friday May 26, 2006
Ordering coffee in Italy may be different than what you're used to. Many Americans traveling in Italy are surprised to get a glass of milk when they order a latte, the Italian word for milk. If you're planning to travel to Italy, you'll need to learn the words for coffee drinks so you can get what you want. Here's How to Order Coffee in Italy.

Here's another thing that might seem odd to first-time travelers to Italy - you'll usually be drinking your coffee in a bar. An Italian bar is not the same as a bar in the United States. Other Italian terms you're wondering about? Check our Italian Travel Glossary for help. If you don't see the word you're looking for, add it to the blog comment and we'll add a definition.
