Turin's first Italian Gay Pride Event was in June of 1979 and now the city of Turin "is ready to host an Olympic-sized Gay Pride Event" June 16-18. The city of Cuneo, also in Piedmont, has 45 days of live music during its summer music festival (started June 8). Read about Gay Pride 2006 and Cuneo's Summer Festival on Piemontefeel. You can check on other Piedmont events on their website, too.
If you're traveling to Piedmont, you might want to check out the Piemonte Card. It looks like a good deal, offering free admission to 146 museums, castles, royal residences, monuments and forts. It has some transportation options such as the Turin airport shuttle, Po River ferry trips, and the Sassi-Superga cog railway. It's also good for discounts on dining, theatre and music events, and off-season ski lifts. The cost is 23€ for 3 days or 35€ for 7 days.
