In fact, there's lots of things you might not know about ticket and receipts in Italy. We've put together a little gallery of typical tickets and receipts you'll come across on your vacation, and tell you how to read them, how to deal with them, and when to throw them away.

Throw them away? Well, yes, you can't just refuse a restaurant receipt, or throw it in the restaurant's garbage pail, or even leave it on the table. You could get stopped by the Guardia di Finanzia and scolded in Italian. What kind of insanity is that, you ask?
