Positano Visitors Guide

Sunday September 9, 2007
Positano, built vertically on the side of a cliff with pastel houses cascading down the hill to the sea, is one of Italy's most romantic and luxurious vacation spots. Positano is a fishing village that became a picturesque resort town on the beautiful Amalfi Coast, south of Naples in southern Italy's Campania Region.

Positano makes a good base for exploring the rest of the Amalfi coast and nearby islands and offers excellent swimming, water sports, and hiking opportunities. Because of its mild climate, it can be visited almost any time of year although summer sees big tourist crowds.

Learn more about Positano and its attractions with our Positano Visitors Guide.
