Venice Film Festival Awards and Milan Film Festival

Venice's huge international film festival ended Saturday with Ang Lee's movie Lust, Caution taking the coveted Golden Lion Award for best film. Brian de Palma won the silver for best director. About.com's World Film site has more about the movies and awards.

The Milano Film Fest starts this Friday, September 14. This year's special program focuses on the work of the Italian filmmakers Ciprì and Maresco who have worked together for more than 20 years. The festival also includes ten days of concerts with all kinds of music and a special program of Korean music and films.
