italy airports mapVenice Marco Polo Airport: Travelers may experience slow downs or delays on Tuesday, September 18, at Venice's Marco Polo Airport. A sciopero (sciopero definition) is planned for that day by caterers and duty free sales according to Avionews, but what typically happens when one group strikes is that others join with at least a work slow down.

Milan Malpensa Airport: Discount airline Ryanair has made a bid to begin operating out of Milan's Malpensa Airport. Alitalia plans to cut nearly half of its Malpensa flights and will concentrate more heavily on Rome. Ryanair says its ready to operate 80 routes out of Milan according to a Telegraph.co.uk news story. Ryanair currently has routes to 22 Italy airports.
