Italy's Spectacular Amalfi Coast

Thursday October 4, 2007
The Amalfi Coast, south of Naples, is one of Italy's most scenic coastal regions. I just got an email from my friends Kathi and John who are staying in Amalfi. Here's what Kathi had to say:
We are on our last day here in Amalfi, I wish we were staying for much longer, the weathers incredible. I think this is our favorite spot so far, our hotel is great, we have a spacious room with an outside terrace overlooking the sea, with a little swimming beach. The water is crystal clear and pretty warm. We have been eating lots of panini and seafood, and drinking lots of proscecco.
Kathi and John stayed at Hotel La Bussola (book direct). They promise to send me photos when they get back so watch for my Amalfi Coast picture gallery next month.

From Amalfi, it's easy to visit attractions in the Bay of Naples such as Vesuvio, Pompeii, and the Greek Temples at Paestum. See our Bay of Naples Travel Guide for more information. Amalfi can also be visited as a day trip from Naples.
