Florence's Boboli Garden makes a relaxing and peaceful place to get away from the hustle in the center of Florence. The Boboli is one of the best examples of formal 17th century gardens, but through October 28 visitors can view reconstructions exploring the development of gardens from Mesopotamian times through Imperial Rome in Gardens of the Ancient World in the Boboli orangery. The exhibit also includes archaeological finds from Capitoline Museums and Pompeii and Herculaneum as well as artifacts on loan from foreign museums.
The Boboli Garden and adjoining Pitti Palace, with eight exhibit galleries, are one of the Top Places to Visit in Florence. Inside the Pitti Palace are a modern art gallery, an exhibit of paintings, and the silver, carriage, costume, and porcelain museums.
