Lake Como, Lago di Como, is a romantic travel destination and Italy's most visited lake. With its mild climate, Lake Como can be visited year round but spring and fall are really the best times to go.

Many beautiful villas, resort villages, and hiking paths surround Lake Como. The town of Como is the lake's main town and makes a good base for exploring the lake, especially if you're traveling by public transportation. Como is on the train line between Milan and Switzerland.
