Pictures of Pisa and the Leaning Tower

Thursday January 10, 2008
Italy Travel Picture leaning tower of pisa The Leaning Tower of Pisa, still leaning, is Pisa's most photographed monument and makes Pisa one of Tuscany's top places to visit. The Leaning Tower is on Campo dei Miracoli, or Field of Miracles, Pisa's tourist-filled square that also houses its beautiful Romanesque cathedral.

The leaning tower isn't the only tower or attraction in Pisa. Away from the tourist crowds you'll find more towers, churches, squares, and beautiful buildings. Pisa is also a vibrant, modern city with good restaurants, shops, and cultural events, including one of Italy's top opera houses.

Enjoy our Pisa Pictures.

True! Pisa is more than just the tower and cathedral. The tower is a pleasant walk from the stazione, over the Arno, past La Scuola Normale (University of Pisa), and nice streets.
Unfortunately, many tourists arrive by bus, see the tower, and get back on the bus. Che peccato!
