Women's Day in Italy

Saturday March 8, 2008
Today, March 8, is the Festival of Women, Feste delle donne. Yellow mimosa flowers and yellow balloons decorate shops and men are supposed to give the flowers to the women in their lives. In Italy, Father's Day is celebrated on St. Joseph's Day, commemorating Joseph, the father of Jesus. You'll find zeppole in an Italian pasticceria (definition of pasticceria). Kyle, on the Italian Cuisine site, has a recipe for Zeppole

Read more about these festivals, including a donkey race to celebrate the Feast Day of San Giuseppe, and other March events in March Festivals in Italy.
