Discount for Americans at Harry's Bar in Venice

Tuesday April 8, 2008
Venice is one of Italy's most expensive travel cities but it's also one of the most popular. Travelers to Italy often want to visit the legendary Harry's Bar, famous as a favorite haunt of Hemingway and for creating the bellini cocktail. According to Truemors, Harry's Bar is offering a 20% discount to Americans to help offset the current poor exchange rate.

Harry's Bar, in the Piazza San Marco area, is one of the most expensive restaurants in Venice. It's one of three Cipriani restaurants (read more about them on about.com's Romantic Travel).

Wander along canals away from the main tourist beat and find a small restaurant or bar where you see locals. You'll see more of Venice that way, too.
