Pompeii Sound and Light Tours

Pompeii's popular sound and light tour (Sognopompei) returns June 7 and will run through November 13, 2008, Fridays through Sundays, according to ANSA.it. Hour long tours are offered in Italian, English and Japanese.

This is not your usual sound and light show where viewers sit passively and watch. This is an actual night tour of Pompeii with added sound and light effects ending with a re-enactment of the 79AD volcanic eruption that buried ancient Pompeii. New this year will be the addition of actors playing ancient Romans. Sounds like a great way to experience Pompeii.
