Friday June 13, 2008
tosca posterReal locations of several scenes from Tosca can be seen while walking around Rome. Piccola Lirica, la grande opera in miniatura, has information about where to see Tosca sites in Rome. Piccola Lirica also does 90 minute presentations of Tosca in Rome's art deco style Teatro Flaiano near the Pantheon from October through May.

A spectacular place to see summer opera outdoors is at Rome's ancient Baths of Caracalla. Performances of Aida begin July 10.

(1) rebecca says:

A Tosca innovative and very beautiful this new and curious adaptation in a miniature edition. For the first time in an opera of the main repertory a midi orchestra has worked on the fusion of traditional instruments with the use of modern informatics-musical technologies. I was fascinated of the virtual tour (S.Andrea della Valle, Palazzo Farnese, Castel S. Angelo…) done seing Tosca, with fantastic singers and a very friendly reception. Thank you for your help!
