Leasing a Car for Italy Travel

Monday July 14, 2008
Many people rent a car when traveling in Italy but if you're going to be traveling for three weeks or longer, a lease buy back program can save you money. There are other advantages like excellent insurance coverage and a brand new car of the model you choose.

I'm planning my fall travels and just leased a Renault Clio through Renault USA (book direct) as I often do. With the lease buy back program, it's important to make your plans more than a month before you leave for Europe. There's paperwork that needs to be completed ahead of time, but otherwise it's fairly easy. Renault Eurodrive charges a fee for car pick-ups and drop-offs outside France, but right now they're offering half off on these fees. In Italy lease cars are available at the Rome and Milan airports.

Find out more about what to expect and the pros and cons with my review of the Renault USA Car Lease Buy Back program.
