In the center of Italy, the Umbria region is sometimes called Italy's Green Heart. In Umbria you'll find medieval hill towns and Etruscan sites but you'll also find one of Italy's largest lakes, nature parks, and an unusual mummy exhibit. A little less expensive than neighboring Tuscany, Umbria is becoming more popular as a tourist destination.
