Rome's Display of Recovered Antiquities
Looted antiquities that have been recovered by Italy are on display at Rome's Palazzo Poli, behind the Trevi Fountain, through September 7. On display in this exhibit are Etruscan, Greek and Roman artifacts that have been returned by foreign museums, including the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. According to Globespotters, two special exhibit tours (one in Italian and one in English) led by experts are being offered by SAFE (Saving Antiquities for Everyone) for a donation of 30 euro per adult or 10 euro per student. The English tour is offered September 4 at 5:00 pm and tour reservations can be made online.
