Italian Gas Prices Decrease

Sunday November 23, 2008
Gas prices in Italy have decreased to the lowest in the past three years according to this Yahoo notice (in Italian). It's possible to find gas as low as 1.17 euro per liter in Italy or approximately $5.60 per gallon. The price of gas in Italy is normally about twice the gas price in the United States. Europe Travel has an article about how to find current gas prices in Europe.

Renting a car is a great way to explore the Italian countryside, small villages and hill towns. Lodging prices are often less outside the big cities and staying in an agriturismo is a good option for those with a car. Find a car rental in Italy with Auto Europe (book direct) or if you're traveling for longer than 21 days, consider a car lease buy-back.
