Sardinia, or Sardegna, is the second largest island in the Mediterranean. From the Emerald Coast in the north to sandy beaches in the south, Sardinia's beautiful coastline offers great opportunities for seaside vacations. The interior is dotted with traditional villages and stone towers called nuraghe, unique to Sardinia. On my recent visit to Sardinia, I was lucky to tour the island from south to north with personal tour guide Paola Loi who greatly enhanced my visit.
