Opera Season Opens at La Scala Opera House

December 7 is opening night at the world famous La Scala Opera House in Milan. This year's opera season starts with Verdi's Don Carlo. The opening performance was threatened by possible strikes but it appears that all unions have signed new contracts ending prior disputes. A night at the opera in one of Italy's historic opera houses is a must-see attraction for opera or music lovers on a trip to Italy.
