venice carnevale mask pictureVenice is the top city for Carnevale, Italy's Mardi Gras. This year's Carnival in Venice events start February 13 culminating on February 24. Excitement fills the air and people wear elaborate costumes and the famous Venice carnival masks.

You'll need to plan ahead to visit Venice during Carnevale as hotels fill up quickly and many events require advance reservations. Here's a look at some Venice Carnival events that can be reserved ahead on Cultural Italy.

hi
im currently takng tourism studies in collage, in one of my class we have to write an essay about any festival in the world.
i chose to do the mask parade in venice, Italy.i would like to know how much money does the festival bring in to the local economy; for instance,the transportation used, food&beverage and hotels during the festival. second question who organize the festival, is there specific organization incherge? last question who runs the show while the event is on?
i will realy apreciate if you can help me.
i have already whent to several websites but i havent had anyluck with this information.
