Views of Italy from Above

Wednesday June 24, 2009
milan duomo pictureMany Italian cities have a tower or cathedral where visitors can climb to the top and be rewarded with spectacular views of the city spread out below. One of my favorite bird's eye views is from the top of Milan's Duomo, the world's largest Gothic cathedral. Not only are there views of Milan but its roof sports 135 spires and 3200 statues and you're right up there with them. Milan's Duomo is one of the few view spots with an elevator.

If you don't want to climb the steps to the tops of the towers yourself, we've done it for you. Pictures of Italy from Above has pictures of the views and information about top view spots in Milan, Venice, Florence, and more.
