Summer in Rome

Saturday June 27, 2009
Hear concerts in villas and ancient theaters, swim in the shadow of the Roman Colosseum, watch outdoor movies, or see a play about the life of Michelangelo during Estate Romana, a program of summer events held throughout Rome.

Rome has opened several ancient monuments to the public for viewing during the summer including the Temple of Romulus and House of the Griffins, the oldest house yet discovered on the Palatine Hill, according to Google News. This is a rare opportunity to see these ancient monuments. Parts of the Roman Colosseum are now open on summer evenings and Trajan's Market offers tours under the floodlights on Thursday through Saturday evenings, 8pm to midnight through September 12.

I tried to go to link for Estate Romana but it did not work. Do you have an exact website address? Planning to go to Rome for once in a lifetime trip without any prior travel knowledge or help with the trip so your site is appreciated and helpful.

Yes, that is the correct web site. It wasn’t working yesterday but seems alright now so please try it again. Here is another page with Estate Romana events listed.
