Of course, I would have to say that Ischia (home of my ancestors and husband) is the most romantic place in Italy. But you’re also missing Roma here. Every Italian would say his or her home region. It’s just a romantic country period. Fun poll!
I think the most romantic place in Italy can be the island of Sardinia. lovely nature and stunnig beaches, great culture, good food and interesting people. What else do you need?
My recently deceased wife and I always said Lago Como was Gods place on earth. However she loved all of Italy the several places visited. I’m sure she smiles on Italia now.
I found the little towns in Tuscany to be very romantic. With the little shops in the hilly towns and the people are very friendly. The family owned restaurants are the best and they go out of their way to please. I would go back in an instant.
Well…it depends,
… the carpets of wild orchids in Abruzzo are very romantic to me. From end of May to mid June you can see the most amazing variety of wild flowers in this still undiscovered part of Central Italy.
Tuscany, Florence, Ischia, Venice are all great, but to my opinion very commercialized later and they do not represent the real Spirit of Italy…anymore.
Cortona and Siena are my favorite romantic spots in Italy. Getting married in the town square of either town would be unbelievable, or in the Siena Duomo.

I came to visit Abruzzo tree years ago …. I am still here.
Walking Holidays in Abruzzo
Ravello is our current romanitic champ in Italy. After a recent visit we have concluded that it is the most romantic spot.
