The rare exhibition of the famous Shroud of Turin is currently going in Turin's Cathedral. My friend Marla, from Bella Baita B and B, went to the exhibit a few days ago. You can read Marla's first-hand account and see the photos from her Visit to the Shroud of Turin.
The Shroud of Turin exhibit continues through May 23 and is free but you must book ahead and have a ticket to see the Holy Shroud up close (otherwise you can enter the church and get a limited view from a distance). Most weekend times are already booked so if you're planning to go, make your reservations soon. Here's how to see the Shroud of Turin.

Hi Martha, thanks for linking to my post about my visit to see the shroud recently. Just to clarify, you can enter the church without a ticket and be able to see the shroud, but it is from a distance with a limited view. You also miss the short slide show that familiarizes you with the specific points of interest. Thus making the experience a much richer one than just being at the back of the church and not exactly clear what you are seeing. However if you are going to be in Torino and unable to get tickets , do drop into the church and have a look. Better than not getting to see it at all.
I just saw the shroud last Friday with my niece (8) and nephew (12). I highly recommend getting a ticket as well, the video was extremely useful in preparation for the visitation, the timing is short, after the video there is a short walk to enter the Duomo and then perhaps 3-5 minutes of viewing the shroud before moving away for the next group of visitors.
