Driving in Italy on Sundays

By , About.com GuideMay 10, 2010

Follow me on:

Sundays are usually good days for long distance driving in Italy because most trucks are not allowed to drive on Sunday. We just made a long drive across France and on the autostrada that runs along the Italian Riviera yesterday to return to northern Tuscany. It was much more pleasant without the big trucks. I try to schedule my long drives on the autostrada for Sundays whenever I can.

Since I'm in Europe for more than 17 days, I'm using the Citroen Car Lease Buy Back Program. For rental cars I use Auto Europe since their rates include good insurance coverage (I've also used their Peugeot buy back program).
