Mobile Broadband Hotspot Device for Travelers

By March 3, 2012

Follow me on:

mobile broadband hotspot device photoAccessing the internet when you travel can sometimes be tricky. A good way to be sure that you can use the internet easily is by renting or buying a mobile broadband hotspot device, or MiFi. A MiFi is a small, pocket sized device that creates your own personal wifi hotspot and allows up to five users to connect to it at once. Therefore, while you are accessing apps on your smartphone, your travel companion can be catching up on their work emails or even Skyping back home. This is a simple way to connect to the internet with any device that is WiFi capable when you are in an area covered by wireless internet.

The MiFi is available for rent from Cellular Abroad. You pay in US dollars and the device will be shipped to your house ready for use - Italy MiFi Data Service Rentals. They also offer cell phone rentals with Italian Sim card, either standard or WiFi enabled. See cell phones for Italy travel for more information.
