The seaside town of Portofino is one of the top Italian Riviera destinations. Once the playground of the rich and famous, Portofino still retains some of its glamor and you'll see plenty of expensive yachts in the harbor. Stroll through the botanical gardens and along the lungomare, the street lined with pastel buildings that runs along the sea. Walk up the hill to visit the castle up the hill that was once the residence of Yeats Brown, British consul to Genoa, and take the scenic trail to the lighthouse on the point. Then reward yourself with a nice seafood lunch.
