It's Truffle Time in Italy

Fall is truffle season in several central and northern Italian regions. Visiting a truffle fair or eating fresh truffles is a highlight of a visit to Italy at this time of year. October 13 is the opening of the truffle fair in the Marche region town of Sant'Angelo in Vado, near Urbania. We'll be there enjoying the open cellars and a special truffle dinner. October 14 a truffle fair opens in Pergola, another town in Le Marche. The white truffle fair in Alba in Piedmont that started last weekend is one of the biggest and most famous; we'll be visiting Alba for truffles next month.
