Many places in Italy hold a special Christmas market for a few days up to a month or longer. Most Christmas markets sell decorations, nativity figurines, local handicrafts, candy, and food. Some have entertainment and Babbo Natale or La Befana may make an appearance. In the north some of the markets resemble German Christmas markets and may even have German food booths. In Naples, the most popular place for Christmas shopping is Via San Gregorio Armeno, the street of nativity workshops.
