Sarzana, a small walled town famous for its antique shops, has two castles - one in town (see photo) and this picturesque castle in the countryside overlooking Sarzana. Sarzanello Castle can be visited but has limited hours. The castle sometimes has entertainment and medieval dinners during summer.
Sarzana is in Liguria (see map), inland from Lerici and the Gulf of Poets and near the border of Tuscany.
