Villa Aurora Hotel in Fiesole
The 4-star Villa Aurora Hotel has a prime location on Fiesole's main square. It's easy to find whether you're arriving by car or bus. The bus from Florence stops almost right in front of the hotel and there's a convenient free parking lot that's easy to find on the road up from Florence.While the higher-priced rooms have been renovated, the standard rooms are somewhat outdated. Our standard room's shower was vey small even by Italian standards and the toilet was in a little alcove with slanting ceiling that made it hard not to hit our heads. Although the hotel is on the main square the rooms are fairly quiet.
From some rooms and the restaurant there are views over Florence when the air is clear. The pleasant terrrace of the attached bar would also have views on clear days. The hotel has a swimming pool and outside lounge area, perfect for a hot summer day. The highlight of Hotel Aurora is the excellent restaurant serving creative Italian fare, well worth the price.

How to Reach Villa Aurora Hotel in Fiesole
Bus number 7 leaves from the Florence train station with stops near the Duomo and Piazza San Marco before arriving in Piazza Mina, Fiesole's main square. The trip from the station to Fiesole takes about half an hour. In Fiesole, you can buy a bus ticket at the news stand in front of the bus stop. Even if you've arrived by car, the best way to visit Florence is by taking the bus.To drive to Hotel Villa Aurora, follow signs for Fiesole from Florence or the airport. As you approach Fiesole, the parking lot is on the right before you arrive in Piazza Mina.
