Uscita

By Martha Bakerjian, About.com

Definition: Uscita means "exit" in Italian. It's surprising how many people think it's an Italian town accessable from every train station they've visited in Italy. The signs are everywhere, after all.

Uscita de Sicurezza is a secured exit, the sign you'll see over a security door.

Via sensa Uscita is a dead end street.

Pronunciation: oo SHEE ta
