Modena Pictures: Photo Gallery of Modena in the Emilia Romagna Region of Italy

Modena is seldom visited--and that's a shame.

Modena, Italy, is known for balsamic vinegar, its 12th century duomo and bell tower, and its engines. Yes, around Modena the famous car makers De Tomaso, Ferrari, and Maserati build their expensive automobiles.

You know the folks of Modena have a reverence for fine food. Where else does vinegar get aged a lifetime or more?

Modena's historic center (centro storico) is a delight to walk or bike around. At the very core is the Piazza Grande, the city's focal point which includes the UNESCO World Heritage Duomo di Modena, the 12th Century cathedral with its Gothic belltower, the Torre della Ghirlandina. Find out more in our Modena Travel Guide.

You'll see these things and more in our Modena Photo Gallery. Click each picture to see it full size.
