Montepulciano is a large walled hill town in southern Tuscany (see Tuscany map) in the heart of the Vino Nobile wine region. At the top of the town is its impressive central square, Piazza Grande, surrounded by beautiful Renaissance buildings. Below the town is the pretty Madonna di San Biagio Church. Our Montepulciano Travel Guide has more about what to see as well as where to stay and how to get there.
