Picture of Trulli in Alberbello

The trulli zone of Alberbello, with more than 1500 trulli, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many trulli are still used as houses but others have been converted to shops, restaurants, and hotels. I stayed in the trulli village at Grand Hotel La Chiusa di Chietri (book direct) just outside Alberbello, where there is also a very good restaurant serving typical food of Puglia.
