In the Museo dell'Opera you can climb to the Facciatone, a panoramic terrace where there's a fabulous view of Siena. The Facciatone is the facade of a cathedral that was never completed. In the 14th century, plans were made to enlarge the current cathedral to make it the largest in Europe. When the Black Death hit in 1348, many people in Siena died and the new Siena cathedral was never completed.
