Wine Mummy Travel Bag

James Martin
Wine Mummy is a handy padded packing bag for carrying wine in your checked luggage. Wine Mummy adds extra protection to your wine and the seal on the bag keeps it from leaking into your luggage if the bottle does break. It's lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to use.

I used a wine mummy to carry a bottle of California wine to Italy in to share with my Italian neighbors. It arrived safely and I felt comfortable knowing that if the bottle had broken it would still be sealed inside the mummy so the chances of wine leaking onto my clothes was pretty low. I'm planning to take a good bottle of Italian olive oil or Italian wine back to California with me when I leave. I've been afraid to carry liquids in my checked luggage but wine mummy seems to be a good and inexpensive solution.
