Valcamonica - Travel Guide to the Val Camonica

The Valcamonica is a beautiful valley north of Lago Iseo, and well worth a visit. The Valcamonica has one of the world's richest collections of petroglyphs--over 140,000 artworks have been discovered. The Valcamonica was the first Italian site to go on UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1979. The hiking is often spectacular in the Valcamonica.
