Get a bird's eye view of Venice with our pictures of Venice taken from the bell tower. Venice's campanile, bell tower, in Piazza San Marco is the best place for picturesque views of Venice from above. An elevator takes visitors to the viewing platform inside the bell tower for spectacular views of Venice, a completely different look from what you get walking around the narrow streets and canals.
The original campanile collapsed in 1902 but was rebuilt in 1912, 1000 years after the original foundation had been constructed. San Marco campanile is 97 meters tall and has five bells.
