Volterra, a medieval hill town with Etruscan roots in Tuscany, is the setting in Italy for the frightening ending of the Twilight Saga: New Moon story. The city of Volterra is where the Volturi, a coven of vampires, enforce the laws of the vampire world and keep vampires hidden from humans. At the end of the story, Edward and Bella come to Volterra.
