Why Did You Start Your Blog?

Having holidayed in the area and then bought a house and emigrated to Le Marche we found ourselves fascinated by the simple lifestyle that governs life here and the characters that make up the tight knit communities in Le Marche. It's a lifestyle which values a small holding and self sufficiency over the consumer goods that are valued in many Western societies and a lifestyle that many countries are striving to recreate.

Visitors to Italy and Le Marche are attracted by the history and the beauty of the landscape, the food the wine and the Italian style and panache, however, this is a veneer that whilst enchanting, leaves you wanting more/ Hopefully our insight into life under the skin of these communities will help readers gain a better appreciating of the region and may help make them vivitors to this enchanting area
