To let everybody know about this beautiful and very little known area.
Le Marche has been described as "Italy in one Region", "Italy's Best Kept Secret", "The Italian Dream", but still does not wake the interest that it should, most guidebooks don't even write about it.
This blog is ment to be a visual diary of the beauties of this region, a list of reasons that should convince you to come visit.
Advice
- Rent a car: you'll be able to really enjoy the winding roads and tiny hilltop towns (traffic is not an issue here)
- Choose two or three locations along the region to avoid driving too much
- Ask the locals for advice (guidebooks hardly include this stunning region)
- Do not miss Urbino: Raphael was born here and it's an amazing example of Renaissance town
- Do not miss Ascoli Piceno: one of the most beautiful piazzas in Italy
- Do not think that Le Marche is just Urbino and Ascoli Piceno!! The countryside is stunning and there are amazing smaller towns to visit.
