What do you write about in your blog?
All about the region Umbria in Italy. We live here since 2001, on top of a hill. We blog about restaurants, wine, Umbria in general, local usances and anything else that springs to mind or is happening around us in Umbria.
Why Did You Start Your Blog?
We had been blogging in Dutch (http://umbrie.web-log.nl) for a long time and decided it was time to also start a blog in English. Living in Umbria is fun, enough to write about and share with many who love Italy but don't live here.
Advice
- check http://www.todoinumbria.com for all events that could be of interest (markets, concerts, village events and a lot more).
- always have a good map at hand and do not only rely on a gps because they do not work everywhere
- do take time to stop in little villages, very often they are lovely and less touristic
- when going to Assisi avoid doing so on Sundays or religious holidays. It is extremely busy then.
